West’s portrayal of the Caped Crusader became hugely successful, and would eventually become a role he would continue to play at various points throughout his career.

Adam West played the role of Batman for three movies: Batman: The Movie (1966), Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders (2016) and Batman vs. Two-Face (2017). The first was a live-action adventure, while the next two were animated features – all set during the 1960s – which West provided his voice to.

It should also be noted that in addition to these three movies, West played the role of Batman across various cartoons, two bizarre ‘70s television specials and 120 episodes of the 1966 Batman TV show. In addition, West played himself alongside his Batman co-star, Burt Ward in the 2003 TV movie: Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt.

And as well as all this, West’s Batman cameos in 2023’s The Flash. It is a blink and you’ll miss it cameo, but he’s there.
