In 2016, Gal Gadot took on the role of DC Comics’ iconic super hero, Wonder Woman for a supporting role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The part continued through a series of DC films, including solo pictures.

But what are all of the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman movies and what order should you watch them in?

Wonder Woman made her first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, joining the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel in a battle against Doomsday. The film was set during contemporary times, and was the first step in the creation of the Justice League.

The second time Wonder Woman appeared on screen was via 2017’s Wonder Woman – a solo adventure largely set during World War I. The tale focused on the origin of Wonder Woman and her initial interaction with Steve Trevor.

Wonder Woman returned to the screen for a third time in Justice League. This film, set shortly after the events of Batman v Superman, saw Wonder Woman team up with Batman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg, to save the world from Steppenwolf.

For her fourth big screen adventure, Wonder Woman found herself in the 1980s for Wonder Woman 84. The film offered another solo adventure, set in Wonder Woman’s past.

If you wish to watch all of the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman films in production order, then watch the films as follows:

  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

As noted above, Wonder Woman’s onscreen appearances are not told in a linear format. Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 84 are set in the past, while Batman v Superman and Justice League are set in contemporary times.

So, if you wish to watch the films in timeline order, you could watch the movies as follows:

  • Wonder Woman (2017)
  • Wonder Woman 84 (2020)
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
  • Justice League (2017)
  • Shazam!: Fury of the Gods (2023)

Please note: While Wonder Woman is set during the events of World War I, the film opens and closes in present day.

So, which is the best order to watch the films – production order or timeline order? In all honesty, it is entirely up to you.

Personally, I favour production order.
