In 2008, to coincide with the release of The Dark Knight, Warner Bros. Pictures sent a number of costumes from the movie to be put on display in the UK, at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. As a keen Bat-fan, and of course a big fan of the film, I popped along to see the costumes for myself.

The display included the Bat-suit and Bruce Wayne’s suit – as worn by Christian Bale – as well as the Joker’s outfit, which is worn by Heath Ledger. A clown goon costume was also on display.

The movie costumes were housed behind protective glass in the Trafford Centre, but were freely available for members of the public to take a look at. Just one glance at the costumes, allowed me to see the incredible work (and detail) that goes into producing outfits such as these.

I took a few snap shots of the costumes back in 2008, which I thought I would share on I’ll Get Drive-Thru, for other Bat-fans to take a look at.

In addition to the costumes, Warner Bros. Pictures also displayed the Batpod (aka the Batcycle). The vehicle features in The Dark Knight during a pivotal battle between Batman and the Joker.

The Batpod was on display outside the Trafford Centre, in the surrounding carpark area. I have to say, it was pretty cool to see the vehicle in real-life.
