In 2017, Eaglemoss launched The Legend of Batman collection – a series of hardback graphic novels incorporating some of the most iconic stories from the Caped Crusader’s career. The Legend of Batman was initially a run of 80 books, but due to its popularity it was expanded to well over 100.
The Legend of Batman collection was not released in chronological order – a common trope of subscription-focused sets such as these. Instead, each release would include a number, so collectors would know where the book slotted into the collection, in order to compile the timeline.
Below I have compiled a list of The Legend of Batman books. This list is in order and was updated as new books were solicited and/or published.

Hi there. Any chance these could be ordered by chronology as an option or something? The extra volumes and the specials are really hard to place and it’d be cool to have them all in a single reading order, thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. It’s difficult to offer a full chronology because not all of the books really fit a set template. Eaglemoss have combined different eras/continuities from the past to create this collection, so in truth, it’s more of a patchwork timeline than anything else.
With regards to the specials/up-sell books, some of these stories (Batman Adventures, Batman Black & White) don’t really fit the main continuity, as they are kind of their own thing.

Parts 105 onwards were never released and Eaglemoss are now defunct. This includes later editions of the special books too.

Hi, thanks for your comment. When I initially compiled the list it included all of the books solicited prior to Eaglemoss’ bankruptcy, which stretched to the 116 listed.
I had plans to update this list, once Eaglemoss halted production, however, there have been recent rumblings that another publisher/company may take over the series and conclude it (although nothing has been confirmed yet).
As such, the list remains at the 116, but with a new disclaimer to explain the situation. 🙂
