It can often be difficult to decide what super hero movie to watch next. Do you watch films featuring Batman? Or do you watch movies starring Superman?
How about both? If you like both the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel in equal measures, then you need to watch films that include both Batman and Superman.
But what are the best Batman and Superman movies to watch?
Here are six of the best to choose from.
_______
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Let’s begin with a live-action film and the first live-action movie to star both characters – Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
In this film, Batman (played by Ben Affleck) meets Superman (Henry Cavill) for the first time, but sadly things don’t work out too well. Cue a lot of angst, a big misunderstanding, and a titanic fight between the two heroes.
But it’s not just Batman and Superman who feature in this film, Wonder Woman shows up too. This turns out to be pretty useful, as once Batman and Superman learn to put their differences aside, they have a big problem to deal with in the shape of the monstrous Doomsday!
_______
Justice League (2017)

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ends on a cliff hanger, but don’t worry, Justice League picks up where the story left off and provides plenty of room for Batman & Superman action.
In this adventure, Batman enlists the help of Aquaman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Cyborg to help him fight the forces of darkness. The team are good, but they need one key person to make them the strongest they can be – Superman.
With Superman’s help, the Justice League take on the despicable Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons in a fight to save the world. But can the team succeed?
_______
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009)

Over to animation for Superman/Batman: Public Enemies – a team-up movie where President Lex Luthor frames Superman for murder. Working with Batman, Superman has to prove his innocence, while trying to uncover the truth about Luthor’s latest scheme.
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is an adaptation of the best-selling comic book of the same name by Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness. Kevin Conroy plays Batman, while Tim Daly is Superman.
_______
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010)

Hot on the heels of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is Superman/Batman: Apocalypse – a sequel which sees the Dark Knight and the Man of Tomorrow team-up once more to square off against Darkseid.
In this movie, Supergirl arrives on Earth and it is up to Superman and Batman to help her find her way. Unfortunately, Darkseid has other ideas, leading to another epic battle (a common occurrence in super hero movies).
Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly reprise their roles from Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, while Summer Glau voices Supergirl.
_______
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Part 1 (2012) and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Part 2 (2013)

And finally, movies No.5 & No.6 are so epic that I’ve joined them together. OK, the truth is, the first film doesn’t really feature Superman, but you need to watch both films to get a true appreciation for this story.
In Part 1, Batman comes out of retirement to tackle Two-Face and a gang of Mutants. In Part 2, Batman squares off against the Joker, and Superman – in a fight to the death!
The Dark Knight Returns – Parts 1 & 2 is an animated adaptation of the Frank Miller comic book of the same name. Peter Weller voices Batman, while Mark Valley plays Superman.
